After the first national lockdown was lifted, The Rifles Museum reopened on the 15th July. The Museum received the “We’re Good to Go” certificate of approval – the UK’s official mark to signal that it had followed Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines. To keep our visitors and staff safe, we installed anti-bacterial gel stations throughout the Museum, in addition to signage, reminding visitors to adhere to 2-metre social distancing, and floor markings, indicating how best to walk around the Museum. Later, the Museum acquired a QR code linked to the NHS’s track and trace app, allowing visitors to check into the venue.

Now we find ourselves in a second, hopefully shorter, lockdown and The Rifles Museum is closed again. We hope to reopen in December. Regardless, we will continue to upload content on our social media channels.
Don’t miss out on a new series of social media posts – ‘Top 5s’ of Rifles Heritage. Follow along with a post each day for a week, as we count down our picks for specific topics from the history of the Regiment.
We look forward to seeing you again in The Rifles Museum in person. Until then, stay tuned for online posts, quizzes, events and activities!
