The Winchester Military Museums, which includes The Rifles Museum, have cooperated to create a temporary exhibition at the Visitor Information Centre, Winchester Guildhall, High Street, Winchester.

This shared exhibition brings together displays and objects from each of the six museums that form WMM – HorsePower: The Museum of The King’s Royal Hussars, The Royal Hampshire Regiment Museum, The Royal Green Jackets (Rifles) Museum, The Rifles Museum, The Gurkha Museum and The Adjutant General’s Corps Museum.

The purpose of this exhibition is to provide visitors to Winchester with a brief introduction to the museums and to encourage them to visit us to learn more. Each museum has also provided objects for the display. From the collections of The Rifles Museum, see a British Armed Forces Afghanistan (Dari) language card, used during the War in Afghanistan, and crest depicting the cap badge of the Regiment.

The exhibition will be taken down in mid-December 2022. Don’t miss your chance to see it!
