Getting Here

We are situated on Peninsula Barracks at the top end of the Winchester City Centre. It’s a short walk up from the High Street, just past Winchester’s iconic Westgate and the Great Hall.

The Rifles Museum’s postcode is SO23 8TS.

We have limited free car parking on site. Please go to the front desk upon arrival to pick up a parking permit.  Please place this clearly in the windscreen of your vehicle and park between the building and the metal studs in the floor in front of the Museum.

We are a 5 minute walk away from Tower Street Car Park. This is pay-and-display.

Westgate (P) bus stop is a 2 minute walk away.

Winchester Railway Station is a 5-10 minute walk away.

Where We Are

The Rifles Museum is completely wheelchair friendly, with toilets and baby changing facilities located on the ground floor. Guide dogs are welcome and induction loops are available from the front desk. Please be aware that our sister museum, The Royal Green Jackets Museum, is split over two floors but has a stair-lift available. Please ask a member of staff for more information.
