Military Millinery – The headwear of the Royal Marines

As part of Winchester’s Military Museums Lunchtime Lecture series the Curator, Christopher Gale, will be giving a talk on the uniform headwear used by the Royal Marines. With significant overlap with the Army’s uniforms, this talk will be of interest to anyone with an interest in hats and military fashion over the past 350 years.

Tickets are £7 per person and include a sandwich lunch.

We are situated on Peninsula Barracks at the top end of the Winchester city centre. It’s a short walk up from the High Street, just past Winchester’s iconic Westgate and Great Hall.

The Rifles Museum shares the same building as The Royal Green Jacket’s Museum; a forming regiment of The Rifles.
