The Rifles Museum, situated in the heart of Winchester, offers a fascinating insight into the story of the largest infantry regiment of the British Army.

Immerse yourself into their history and exciting campaigns, and find out what it is like to be a Rifleman, including trying on their uniform and battle armour!

Packed with personal items and individual soldiers’ accounts, it is a meaningful experience for all to enjoy and explore.

What’s On

Calling all budding photographers!

Looking to build more confidence and gain some introductory skills to photography? Then look no further than our photography workshop on Tuesday 23rd October, with tips from a professional photographer and the museum and its beautiful surroundings as inspiration for your own session. £30 per person.

Peninsula Pumpkins

Join us for pumpkin carving, military ghost stories and much more on Friday 26th October and Saturday 27th October. There is a small charge per child for each pumpkin.

We are situated on Peninsula Barracks at the top end of the Winchester city centre. It’s a short walk up from the High Street, just past Winchester’s iconic Westgate and Great Hall.

The Rifles Museum shares the same building as The Royal Green Jacket’s Museum; a forming regiment of The Rifles.
