Welcome to The Rifles Collection

The Rifles Collection aims to tell the story of The Rifles, a regiment formed in 2007, drawing on both the heritage of its antecedent regiments and the current Regiment. The museum reflects the experiences of the modern Regiment, showcasing their tales from modern conflicts such as Iraq and Afghanistan as well as their role in British culture such as the role in the 2012 Olympics. There are tales of courage, humour and sacrifice from the soldiers of The Rifles and their families since its formation. To find out more about the ‘living heritage’ that is The Rifles, you can explore the resources available on this website, contact us for research purposes, visit our museum or one of our travelling exhibitions or one of our family of museums – The Rifles Museum Network.

The Rifles Collection recently hosted the first talk of a new series in the recently renovated museum with serving Riflemen talking to the audience about their experiences of serving with the Regiment. This talk was covered by Hampshire Chronicle and, to the curators’ delight, given a great review.
